These terms govern your use of teacherstakehome.co.uk (“the site”). By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. The service
The site provides a free take-home pay estimator for state-school teachers in England, together with reference pages about the relevant pay framework. It is operated by Dabble Solutions Ltd (company number 17016788), trading as Take Home Network.
The site is provided free of charge and is funded by advertising and occasional sponsorship. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
2. Not financial advice
Nothing on this site is financial, tax, pension or legal advice. We are not financial advisers, accountants, tax agents or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The figures are estimates produced from published pay scales and HMRC rates, and are intended to help you understand how your pay is made up.
Do not make a financial decision — taking a job, changing pension contributions, committing to borrowing — on the basis of a figure from this site alone. Your payslip, your payroll department, HMRC and a qualified adviser are the authorities on your actual position.
3. Accuracy of calculations
We take accuracy seriously and document our sources and method on the methodology page. Even so, the calculator is a model. It cannot know your tax code history, local allowances, mid-year changes, benefits in kind, or anything else specific to your employment that is not entered into it.
We make no warranty that the figures are accurate, complete or current, and we do not guarantee that pay scales on the site reflect the most recently published award. Where a pay award has been announced but the detailed tables have not been published, the site says so rather than guessing.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the site for your own personal or professional purposes, including sharing a link to it. You must not:
- scrape, bulk-download or systematically extract the site’s content or data;
- reproduce substantial parts of the site elsewhere, or present our figures as your own;
- attempt to interfere with the site’s operation or security, or use it to distribute malicious code;
- use the site in a way that breaks any applicable law, or that misrepresents its figures as authoritative statements of pay.
If you would like to use our data in research, journalism or a union publication, please ask — we are usually happy to help and to point you at the underlying published sources.
5. Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” and to the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its figures, including lost income, lost opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
6. Third-party content, advertising and links
The site carries advertising, which may be served by third parties including Google. Advertising is subject to the advertisers’ and ad networks’ own terms and privacy practices, and their presence is not an endorsement.
The site links to external sources including government departments, pay review bodies and unions. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability. Some outbound links may be affiliate or sponsored links; where that is the case it does not affect the figures the calculator produces, which are derived only from published pay and tax data.
7. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text, code and presentation are owned by Dabble Solutions Ltd. The underlying pay scales, tax rates and thresholds are public information published by the bodies named on our methodology page, and we claim no ownership of them.
You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce whole pages or present the site’s material as your own.
8. Privacy and data
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Salary figures you enter are not sent to us, stored on a server, or shared with anyone. What we do collect — analytics, and advertising cookies where you consent to them — is set out in our privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
